AlienAliens, urban legends, and conspiracy theories intrigue all of us.  We can’t help but forward on the email requesting Get-Well cards for the child in England or the offer of $100 from Bill Gates.  What is the strangest story you’ve ever heard?  How do you check to see if it is real or fake?

First S'MoreA highlight in life is experiencing something for the first time. Here is a picture of a child enjoying the experience and making and eating a S’More for the first time. Please add a comment to this blog of something new that you would like to try this year. Don’t forget to include the important details: Who, What, Where, Why, and When.

Welcome to the New School Year

Greetings and welcome to the 2006-2007 school year. This site will represent a chronological record of one educator’s attempt to integrate blogging into the classroom. I have attended several conferences and read many blogs extoling the virtues of blogs in education. I hope that by incorporating this blog into lessons I will see an increase in student writing and provide students with a chance to write for an authentic audience.

If you have some suggestions for using blogs in the classroom, please leave a comment. I’d appreciate it if you included your email address in your comment so that I can contact you if I have any questions about your suggestion.
